FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Every car will need a slightly different type of detailing, depending on a number of factors such as the age of the car, how much damage there is in both the interior and exterior, and the amount and type of dirt involved. In most cases, the cost is what we quote, however, there may be situations where we must do more to bring the car up to a proper level of cleanliness.  Before we start, we do an assessment of what each vehicle needs and how much time will go into achieving a quality outcome. If the needed cleaning exceeds our initial quote, we will discuss it with you up front and will not begin until you completely understand what will be done in the detailing process.

Most people have a complete detailing service done annually or in the fall and spring. Usually, the exterior products that are applied will hold up for about six to nine months with normal driving and weather. Of course, the interior depends on how hard you and your passengers are on it. If you have 3 kids, two dogs, and like to go camping, you may want to have the car detailed more often than a businessperson who just uses their car to commute to and from work.

On average a standard detail takes about 2-4 hours for a vehicle in normal conditions. However, it can take an entire day if it requires extensive work.

No. A lot of knowledge goes into this type of work. Product knowledge, a little bit of science and a natural ability to see things. We have a certain process that we have developed over years to achieve the results that will make you (and us) happy.

Not using a qualified detailer such as Superior Shine can result in damage to interior or exterior materials in your car.

A used car is a used car. And will always be a used car.

This doesn’t mean we can’t take your vehicle to an almost like-new condition and give you the feeling that it’s new. When a well-cared-for vehicle comes in for detailing, it usually yields a better result. If a neglected vehicle comes in it may not be a showstopper at the end of the service, but it will be a heck of a lot cleaner and nicer looking. You will always get your money's worth from a Superior Shine detailing.

It’s best to schedule as soon as you have it on your mind. This way you can plan ahead for the detailing knowing exactly when and for how long we will be working on your vehicle. We can get booked out a few weeks in advance, especially in the springtime, but at other times we may be able to take care of your car in a day or two. Contacting us a few weeks or a month in advance means that you will most likely be able to pick the day that works best for you.
